jimfulco http://novaresource.org/speedo.htm will help you figure out what combination of gears you need.

Deuce You must know which gear is on the output shaft ... to find the correct one that you need ...

Note the above is NOT a Muncie but does show the relationship of the gears ...

Go here ... http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Tech...eedo_gears.asp for a on-line calculator ... but you must know the gear number on the output shaft.

M21 4 speed speedo gear, which one

Hi everyone I have a 1980 Z28 M21 4speed with a 3:42 gear 26 inch tires,my question is the speedo gear is all chewed up how do I know which one to replace it with, ex-red blue green?. It came with the red one but I don't know if that is the right one when a 3:42 axle is being used, any experience out there for which colour goes with which rearend would be thankfully received and faithfully applied. thank You
