schnitz It did look good (at least to me), but now I kinda got hooked on the taillights from the '00 to '05's. My sketches just didn't look exactly right with the first gen brake lights anyway. I had the them slanted a bit, and I had to curve them slightly to match the body flow. All I can add is that your work truly amazes me and I'm really looking forward to whatever you can come up with.

charger528 Thank you I would greatly appreciate it .

I just can't seem to see it in my mind how to make it flow and be a one of a kind on my own.

mine is going to have a 3 3/4 cowl hood

DVierstra Thanks everyone for your comments!

charger528 (Bill), When my Portfolio site is back up...I'll post the yellow version and I will edit this post. Thanks for the comment!
I am always trying to improve. I would like to be better than Foose himself.
Even though he did go to the Pasadena Art Center! I am all self taught.
I helped Chip and Mike with a small project once for the 67 Dodge Coronet
Modified Rumblebee sticker. He is a genuine person and is very laid back and really cool! Got to stop in and visit him in his shop.

Edit:

Schnitz (Chet), , Sounds like an interesting combo. May have to try
combining some of those different details from all those years and see what comes up? Maybe some Retro looking Monte? The Monte's are due for an overhaul...just like the Mustang.

New Interiors, Thanks for the comment. I have always been very anal about doing my best and am a stickler for details...may lead to blindness!

charger528 Tango if i could afford a hemi a would want one but have found the big block to be a very good performer.

and its true that car came with a super charger and would be quite valuable if you still had it someone would buy it even if was in 2 pieces just to get the vin tag because it a mr norm.

and they would rebuild it no matter the shape that car was very limited production due to the dealer mods and is considered very special to collectors.

340 a body cars are very strong performers some would say there big block slayers.

up here we have no less than 5 running 10's and at least 5 or more running 9's at New England Dragway

the 340 has unbelievable potential many of the guys around here keep trying to talk me out of putting a big block in my duster drag car there trying to get me to go small block. but im pretty stubborn im thinking 543cid indy heads huge cam 4.88 gears 4500 stall and you no step on the pedal and kiss your *** good by and at the end of the flight walk around with the biggest grin until your heart stops pounding through your chest lol

TANGO I liked that photo of that engine you have . What do you think about Hemis . I my self think 340s/383/400/and440s are the better Mopar engines . I had a 1972 MR Norm Dodge 340 demon . IT was to far gone to bring back . And had a 360 in it . The 340 was long gone . I was told it was a super charged car from MR Norms . The original owner gave me a photo of the engine when it was not were old . I would still like to find another 340 a body car .

charger528 Tango they used mostly dana 60s and they were almost always in Hemi or 440 4 speed cars.

TANGO HI 528 My friend had a green 1972 Charger . It was all green inside and out . I liked that car . He ran a 318 with an offenhauser intake a 750 Holley 3310 headers and a 904 trans with a shift kit . He also picked up a Dana 44 rear end out of a cop car . He said it had a 323 gear. but I do know that it was better then the stock one he had . Did many Mopars have that Dana 44 . It had a odd cover on it . That car ran real strong . The headers where hard to put on!

DVierstra Yeah, I know...I drive an '06 Impala LTZ. Too bad they're not RWD.
2009 or 2010 they will go back to RWD.

schnitz I like it, but I'd like to see the "Charger" logo changed to the same color as the yellow/orange right by the door handle. My suggestions would be: I think if you dump the front marker lights, change the rear spoiler angle, and re-color the badging, you'll nail the perfect car. Unless you try a third gen Monte Carlo. LOL! You might have guessed I'm a bit partial to them...

I had (many years ago) hand-drawn my idea of what the new Monte should have looked like when it came back in '95. I had the more pronounced body curves of the '73-'77s, and the lines of the hood of the '78-80 Montes blended into composite headlights similar to the Cadillacs of today. I also "stole" the taillights of the '70-'72 cars. I wound up with a killer stance (I had the wheels as near to the 4 corners as I could get and not disrupt the body lines), and a product that I felt would really make a huge draw for Monte fans. Instead, GM left us with a product most guys like me are not even "proud" enough to call a Monte Carlo. I'll step off the podium now....
