1969NovaSS I recently rewired a 58 apache and the guy wanted to use the multifunction switch from a 79 camaro. The high beam switch had the same connector that would have gone to the floor mounted one. The big connector has 2 extra wires that arent needed. the connector is also a a different size so take one from the donor car and just pull the pins out.

MI2600 I don't know Deuce, I think one of those first switches you showed would look a little funny duct taped to the steering column...LOL

Stovebolter Thanks Duece. I guess I'll just stick with the floor mount like you. I just thought it would be nice to have everything I can on the column.

I always just use a floor mount type ... like from a GM vehicle from the late 60's ... easy to wire, easy to use and easy to mount.

Also easy to replace if you ever need to. All the ones I have ever seen that mount on the column are large, bulky and not very attractive.

I always use a GM van tilt column and they are small and do not leave a lot of room for a BIG ole turn signal switch.

If you really want a turn signal/high - low beam changer on the column ... I suggest looking at a later GM van tilt column.

They are plentiful in supply and cheap to buy ... no one much wants them because of the bulk .

High Low Beam column mount switch?

Does anyone know if the combination turn signal/hi low beam switch off a newer model will fit any of the aftermarket columns? I'd like the hi/low beam to be on the turn signal switch but cant find a column in the salvage yard that is simple and clean like a 79 Camaro column.
