I've looked and done searches for two days. Does anyone know where I can get a one piece hood for my 36 Chevrolet Truck. I dont want to run the sides. Most of what I've seen are for 30-36 Chevolet Cars and Model A's. I swear I tried searching the posts.
Howdy Dave,
Could you not take the sides off of your hood, then add an inner structure and hinges. Do you want side tilt front tilt or conventional opening?

I was thing of maybe a forward tilt. Still not sure. I'd leave it split in the middle so I could still raise either side up but....man those center hinges just dont look good to me. I'd even settle for a center hinge that could be welded in that allowed the hinge to appear hidden. I just havent figured it out yet. Was hoping someone made a simple one piece for a 36 truck.
What about a forward tilt hood that could also tilt up from either siid like stock,Couldn't you replace the center hinge with piano hinges? Do you want an inside hood latch,as the Idea that I have would make it simpler,I'll do a quick paint sketch for it.
