2-manytoyzs I buy and sell a couple of cars a year, if I can get into them it cheap enough. Usually they are from someone I know, and the people are looking for an excuse to get a new car, so they say the "old car" isnt worth fixing. I'll make anywhere from 1 to 2 thousand dollars on them. The 1st $100 bill off any car I sell goes to my wife, and I tell her to go spend it on herself for something fun ........ she lets me do anything I want!

MI2600 My wife and I had reached a tacit agreement. I don't criticize her sewing room and her use of the closets in four bedrooms, and she doesn't say anything about my workshop in the basement and the garage. As long as she can easily get her car in and out of the garage, all is well. Also, if you tell your wife those engine blocks in plastic bags are garage lamp tables she will think better of you.

38 special Redbird, you surprised me. I thought you were a man. Had to go back and look at your profile. It did say teller not tellhim.
As far as my garage goes. We're talking a mountain of pathetic piles of junk, but... It's mine all mine. YES! I'll have to clean it just so I can work/play in it at all this summer.

Bluepen Hey, I had to clean out my shop the other day, got to crowded(sp) to work in. Ya know I found something I forgot I had in my shop. I got a concrete floor in there, all this time I thought it was made of packed oil dry.

Kidding

Redbird I am glad my husband & I don't have that problem. hahaha. I am worse than he is about keeping "everything", but the difference from me & him is, it is "organized". Just yesterday we were working on the car & he mentioned he wish he hadnt thrown away some wires that had connectors on them. Ah Ha! I took off, came back with what he wanted. At his supprised expression, I just told him there was just something about when he "rips" something out and says, " I don't think we'll need that", that has me on alert. hahaha. With the cost of everything, I will keep it all as long as we have room. That's the key. Then I guess you build on to the garage. hahah

CustomChrome Mine can say all she wants I just put her on ignore

My shop is just that, mine! If she wants to tell me how to clean it she can run it to. Of course that would never happen. It sounds too much like work to her and she wont have anything to do with that four letter word

1meancuda Hopefully my wife will let me bring stuff into the garage! She doesn't clean it, but she sure lets me know when it's getting too messy for her liking!

meanmachine666 Man I am glad I have got my wife trained not to enter my garage. She would make me get rid of 4 or 5 engines that have dust on them and 5 or 6 transmissions for that matter.
but I have a good understanding she does not tell me how to keep my garage and I do not tell her how to keep the house cleaned. But spring cleaning is a pain.

SCUD hunting in my Garage?

I have been searching the garage for junk/SCUD. Stuff Collecting Untold amounts of Dust/SCUD. My wife is the expert SCUD hunter. She can spot something that's been sitting to long and wants to throw it out. My 400sbc that I had bored to 406 for a later buildup she decided needed to be recycled/junked but couldn't move it by herself. She tried loading a 350 block I just got back from boiling, she said the plastic bag had dust all over it. We found old oil, oil filters, air filters and spark plugs. I threw out some exhaust pieces I had cut up and body panels I will no longer save to patch holes. I removed worn tires without wheels and bent wheels without tires. We cleanup ALL the old oil dry and broken light bulbs. I found tools I didn't remember I lost and put them away. I had at one time covered a wooden table with sheet metal to use as a movable work bench, its covered brake with stuff. This spring cleaning is a pain!
