Hey. Would running seperate pipes (1 for each cylinder), about 2 feet long off the head cause major backfiring issues? Any other ill affects, other than the noise?

If you think carbon monoxide poisoning isn't a problem then no. Airflow around most cars will put the exhaust right in the cockpit if it is ahead of the doors.
Aye, damn it. I was thinking it might look really cool to run the exhaust straight out my hood on my Cutlass, seeing as how I can't afford to drive it more than a day a week as it is.
