Next, easy 59 elcamino parts ID

Ok, Happy Tony abandoned some other stuff in my shop besides that crispy crittered tachometer.

There was a small collection of 59 elcamino parts.,

First, will the wing vent windows from a 59 elcamino also fit an impala and will they fit the 1960 elco/impala?

Also, here is a pic of a small pile of trim pieces. I believe they are from the same 59 elco. I know which ones are the windshield, but what are the boomerang shaped pieces? I know the headlight bezels don't go to the 59, although I'm trying to ID those too.

Are these pieces from the rear deck, on either side of the tailgate? Or do they go somewhere else? Wiil these fit a 60 el camino also?

Thanks for reading this,
Mikey

Mikey, who cares what they are. Put them on Ebay with a title of 59-60 Elcamino chrome trim and window parts and let the bidders tell you!

Those are perfect Ebay items.

I know Brian, I really wish I could just take a blurry picture of a big pile of parts with dirt and garbage all over it and just call it something really descriptive .....like, "part".
Use the same pic for 17 auctions and say NO RETURNS all over the page with all of the terms of my conditional feedback policy and how I want to get paid within 4 milliseconds of the auctions end.

But I can't

So instead I'm going to torture hrbb with many threads that I wind up answering myself after 5 other more sensible people give me the answer to but I'm too oblivious to see it.

Do you guys think I make things harder than they need to be?

You can tell me

I was thinking about having samples the steel sent out for a metallurgical analysis, That could help with the ID, huh?

oops , I just reread your post.....SO THEY ARE 59 and 60 .. Thanks brian, um, so where does that little boomerang peice go

I list something and have dreams about some guy who looks like Moses with a laptop in one hand and pointing a finger at me bellowing "YOU LISTED and sold THESE PARTS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THEY WERE"!!
"YOU WILL NOW PAY a refund and SHIPPING BOTH WAYS"!!!

I hate it when that happens.

again, thanks for reading this,

Mikey

I have listed many items on ebay that I didn't know what they were. I put a lot of key words to get the people to the ad and let-r-rip.

I made it real clear that I didn't know and it was up to the bidder to figure it out before he bid.

The best one ever was a horn from a motorcycle that was found in a box of junk parts with a purchase of a 40 Chevy truck by a friend of mine. I listed every motorcycle name I could come up with and it went for $425!

Found the exact same horn the NEXT day at a swapmeet in Pleasanton for $40.00 Sold it on ebay for $250.00.

I figure I found a way to distribute my address so people could send me money.

Brian

p.s., they are probably the same parts on Olds, Pontiac, Buick, don't forget those key words either!

My brother does that. I really have to wonder why a guy would search for a part using "Rat rod". But I guess some do.

Okay mikey
The vent widow assy. will fit al 59-60 chev SEDAN models

the hl bezels appear to be 1960 chev

The little boomerang thing-----no idea--may be from a 60

The last pic--stainless steel part---A-pillar rain gutter. Used with the stainless part in the first pic.

These will also fit 59-60 Sedan models

I will look in my 59-60 manual and try to find those boomerang things.

If he has left the bed rail trim (59 & 60) don't let it go too cheap.
These are not reproduced and good ones are pricey.

Bryan

2-piece rain gutter trim--sorry for bad pic--dark garage

Could not find those boomerang things in either the 59 or 60 trim layouts.
have no idea what they could be, unless some sort of interior trim.
(Aluminum or stainless?) No stainless in my interior. All aluminum.

Possibly he got hold of some wagon interior parts.
