fuel pressure test

You probably need a fuel pressure test. I had problems with cold start on a Toyota Supra, It has a cold start injector, I thought it was bad, but a new one did not help. My son drove it all summer with no problems, finally he had it tested in the Fall when the mornings were frosty. and found the fuel pump was on it's last legs, would pump enough for warm weather driving But not enough fuel for the Cold injector and regular injectors. When cold, fuel starvation.

Pump doesnt run? The airflow meter on that could be the mechanical type. It will have a door that airflows through that is spring loaded. When air is pulled through it , the door opens. When door opens, 2 point type contacts inside connect and complete the circuit to the fuel pump.
you can probe the 2 connectors at the meter with a test light, and manually move the door with your finger to check if it is powering up.
If there is no power to it, check the fuses. If it doesnt turn the circuit on, the contacts are burnt and it needs replaced.
You can cut the silicone around the cover and pull it off to look in, the 2 contacts are pretty easy to spot.
Fact is stranger than Fiction

Thanks, Sorry i didn't reply!!! Been really busy..

Found a fuel pump fuse that was bad. Replaced it and its getting plenty of pressure from the fuel pump now. The car runs great while taking off slow.. once you get to about 3rd gear or up to 35 or so, the car will fly! But if you mash "the pedal to the medal" taking off, the car practically falls on its face! Can check the pressure all the way to fuel regulators. Pressure is excellent. It has to regulators; and thinking those could be bad. Do you think so/ Could that be a possibility or is there something else to check for. (Have checked pressure, coil packs, crank angle sensor, computer, and the mass airflow sensor----ALL help is appreciated!)
