nissan engine wiring harness

ok, i need some help here. who is the best sorce and price for a complete nissan engine wiring harness on the internet? also, how much trouble am i looking at to replace one? this is going on a 1991 nissan sentra with a 1-6 liter with air and is an automatic.
i had an onboard fire on tuesday and was fortunate enough to be there when it started and was able to quickly put it out, but i don't want to just repair the dmaged area because i don't know what caused the problem. i figured the safest way to handle it would be to replace that harness. suggestions?

Have you tried looking in a salvage yard yet? That would be my best bet as far as cost effectiveness goes. If you had a Z car I would give you my harness and computer because I will be replacing the Datsun stuff with Chevy stuff soon.

BTW can you switch manifolds on that car and run a carb? Again they make a set up for the Z's that let you bolt on a traditional four barrel carb and junk the fuel injection stuff all togeher.

i haven't looked into that yet. up to this point, i haven't had a problem. i was able to find the harness thru a dealership in dalllas that was $150 less than what they where offering it for here in louisville. i have looked in the junkyards for it, but you don't find many 91 thru 93 sentras in the yards that can handle my particular setup (factory seetup, that is). the ones that i did find where already cut from people taking the engine and just cutting the wires. extremely popular engine. my engine itself is just so damn dependable, which makes it hard to find in the junkyard in any decent shape. i will more than likely replace it with a new harness which leaves me with the problem of checking my computer for any damage. any ideas on how to check these things to make sure thaat the small fire that i had didn't hurt the computer? beyond that, i may start modifying this car, but i need to find a source to make sure i don't screw it up. i like this car and i love the engine.

If the fire was just under the hood in the engine bay then your computer may be fine. Unless it to is under the hood instead of inside the passenger area.

yep, it was just under the hood. it was really such a small portion of the wiring, but it came within an inch of my fuel line. i got off lucky. by the way, what kind of datsun do you have? about three doors down from me sits a 1976 datsun 250 z that i believe the owner is going to get rid of. from what i have heard of the old datsuns, the frame may be rusted badly on it, but man is she pretty. she would be beautiful with a new frame, body work and paint job on her. the engine is fine, or so i have been told. is it possible to repair the frame back to working condition? as you can tell, i am a bit new at this, but i do like the nissans and the look of their z's.
