Can you say "BOOM"? You really need a carb plate wet system for a carbed motor.

Like Rick said, got to be a wet shot with a carb, dry shots are for fuel injected vehicles where they are "piggybacking" the fuel increase through the factory fuel injector. It is still getting the fuel in the end, it just comes from increased injector timing.

NOS used to sell something called the "Top Shot", it was a small (40-50 hp) dry nitrous shot that attached to the air cleaner stud and sprayed down through the carb allowing the carb to add the extra fuel, don't know if they still make it and you can't go very big (power-wise)with it. It was not real popular.

The "Top Shot" actually went as high as 75 hp, but as ericnova72 said, it shot through the carb, picking up the needed fuel enrichment as it went.
