I want to fill my own nitrous bottle but dont want to spend 800.00 dollers for a fill station . I was told by a man I can hook the 75 pound bottle to the 10 pound with a short nitrous hose and open both bottles till is had 10 pounds in the 10 pound bottle.

I have seen a set up with two bottls a nitrous and a nitrogen tank. the nitrogen pushed the nitrous out of the 75 pound bottle to the 10 pound bottle but i cant find where to buy that set up.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing your thinking about. A guy from a different site I visit often does it himself and gets the gas from Airgas and bought the adapter and hosing for the supply tank from them too, Had to buy the adapter for the 10 lb. bottle from the company that made the bottle because they are all different. He puts the 10 lb. bottle in the freezer overnight and hooks them up together, Puts it on a scale and opens them both up, When the bottle weighs 10 lbs. more than it did it's done. He says it works good with no problems. Hope this helps, If you try it let me know how it works out. Perry.

You don't have to freeze your bottle over night. Just put it in the fridge for an hour or so. It works very well and is cheaper that filling individual 10lb bottles.

When I get my 2 bottles filled I have to make an appointment to get it done cause the guy's so busy, I hate that. Every time I walk out of the place, My wallet's 80 dollars lighter so at a dollar a lb. I gotta try it myself. Thanks for the fridge tip Bigbadbowtie. Perry.

Thanks guys I was not sure that whuld work but i am going to try.
the guys around hear want 8.00 a pound thats 80.00 for a 10 pound bottle. thay are crazy. As soon as I get the money for the contract and the bottle I am going to do it. I will let you know how it works as soon as i get it going

Been doing it for years and its MUCH MUCH cheaper. There is one bad thing about it. Your going to use more of it. :-)

how much you guys paying for a 75 pound mother bottle. The locol welder shop wants 250.00 for the contents of the bottle.

Sounds like they are selling you the bottle, Thats a lot for just the gas. Here it goes for a dollar a lb. Perry.

I am buying it from National Welders. there websight has it for 250.00.
I went in to talk to them thay say 175.00 for the bottle plus 65.00 for the contract for the rental of the bottle the 175.00 is for the content of the bottle.

I wish i could get it for 75.00 for a 75 pound bottle.

my first try:: we took a bottle adapter from a 10 pound bottle put it on the mother bottle.
YUP IT FIT then used the line from a old nitrous kit put little bottle on the scale turned both on and onley got 4 pounds of nitrous in the little bottle.

if you can get the medical nitro its alot cleaner and when you lose you can laugh it off with a snort
