Nitrous guru's , let me pick your brain

Putting together a street slash strip car..
92 mustang 347 stroker, all mods..
motors 12 to 1 compression.
got a pro fogger system going to be plumbed in between the upper and lower intake manifold via plate system.. the kit is a wet system. Has a nos progressive controller , stand alone fuel system just for the nitrous.
my question is>> whats you guys opinion about cranking the juice wide open to 300horse shot with such high compression. i have done this previously with high compression but with a much smaller shot (150). now im doubling it.
the bottom end is all forged with wire ringed aluminum heads .
but i have got mixed reviews
all your answers are greatly appreciated and will go towards my final outcome.
thanks chris

I've run a Nitrous Works direct port fogger with a 400 HP shot and used slightly over 13-1/2 compression in one of my customers NMCA SBF engines very successfully. It was a 454 inch Windsor engine, and made 1168 HP on the dyno with nitrous. Its all in the cam. Make sure your top ring is down on the piston and a stainless top ring is a good idea.

dope

The engine needs to be built with the 300hp shot in mind. proper ring package, ring type and gaps etc.

IMO the biggest problem is the tuning. Most guys will try to force a tune on the engine, like xx amount of timing or this heat range plug because it's what there buddy ran.

You need to stat out with the small jets and a over safe tune. Pay attention to what the engine is telling you and work your way up. If you look at whats going on you will have zero problems with that hit.

If you miss it BOOM!!!!

Keith your absolutely right. Don't try to start at the top, work your way up slowly.
