Just recently i posted in this forum about having brakes that were very tight at first, and then after sitting at a light with them holding "tight" they went soft.

Well i hopped in the car today... and there are no brakes at all!!!

the brake pedal gives no pressure, the car doesn't stop, and the pedal rarely comes back up from the floor

whats wrong!!!???

it almost sounds like you've been leaking brake fluid somewhere. have you checked the fluid level in your reservoir? i would look at that first and then check your lines to see if there's any noticeable leaks. if there is no leaks and your reservoir is topped up then i would guess that it is your master cylinder.

HEY PONY: You have internal problems in master cylinder. Fluid is leaking around piston, so that it will not pressurize external circuit. A trip to Auto Zone will cure your problem....GOOD LUCK...DAVE

the car can't make it to autozone

the resevoir is topped off..

can i safely assume that the master cylinder is gone?

I would say that is a pretty safe assumtion(sp)

I would drive something else to Autozone
