Welcome to HOTRODDERS.com

Well what kind of back fire up thru the top are you having?

Is it one or multiple?

Did you check the timing chain?

Did you check the firing order?

Checked for bent /sticking valves?

I have seen the pick up coil go bad on those & it will act like a spun timing chain.

What brought you the decision to change out the heads?

Check the fuel pressure...you need at least 10psi with 12-13psi being ideal.

Most likely the pump is going south.

Wow, that is like saying...."I felt vibration in the brake pedal so I swapped out the front axle..." not to rag on you but you blew way past where you need to be on that one.
