no spark?
ok i just was trying to start my SBC 305 enigne up today for the first time. its turning over fine but not starting up, its getting gas, oil pressure. my friend held the spark plug up to a ground and its not getting any spark. they are brand new spark plugs, wires were put on the engine a few months before tearing it apart. the distribitor cap was kind of crorded up on the inside terminal thingys.. changed the cap out and still noting... the distribitor is a HEI. There is the big 3 plug in on that goes on the side and also the other 2 plug thing with green wires.. on my wiring harness ther is a few other plugs but i have no idea where the hell they would go, or if they need to be put anywhere.

anyone have any ideas why i am not getting spark?
