No Spark!!help!!!!

The other day, I lost ignition spark while driving. I have a 72 big block with a HEI ignition. I replaced the control module, rotor cap and the coil. I still have no spark. I have proper voltage coming to the distributor. I don't know what else to do.....please help!!!!

Get another distributer that you know works.Put your coil and cap on it. ........That will narrow it down....With the Chevy system, I can't see it being anything else, since you have 12 volts going to it.

On the Mopar distributer that I have in my van, the pickup for the module has to be set, just right....did you check the GM oickup.

Goes without saying that you check that the distributer is turning.

Well, the engine only has a about 200 miles. I think the problem is I put a 30 year old distributor back on.......the rotor does turn, so the timing chain should be ok........I assume.....Guess I'll cry in my soda and shell out the cash for a MSD.....Thanks everyone....
