No such thing as a stupid question....wanna bet

Ok guys i really need your help again..My son brought home a playstation2 racing game that he borrowed from a friend and he is Whooping my *** I have practiced while he is in school and have got my reaction time down to a .502-.510 consistantly (its only a game) and am running 9.5 - 9.75 @ 120 (again its only a game) ive got almost 900 HP heres the thing I top out about at 121 MPH at 6200 RPM half way down the track. (and thats when he blows by me) I have bought a new transmission and can adjust the gear ratio this is where I need your help right now my gears are as follows:

1st 3.56 2nd 2.077 3rd 1.26 4th 1 5th .0711

Right now 1st is useless i just smoke em and 6th tops out at 120
1/2 way down Can you sugest some numbers to punch in there to get me down the track quicker...or faster

I made a bet with him that today when he gets home we'll drag for slips (its a cool game) If he looses hes got to wash the cars and boat this weekend..if I loose ive got to clean his room...ever been in a 10 year olds room... not fun... Please help

Desperate Dad....
Do you think this should have been in the transmission forum? considering its not real and all...

Hehe, I used to play GT2 all the time, I think I can help you out. If you can adjust the final drive ratio, I would recommend dropping down to something under a 3.00 gear. That'll will help wheelspin a little, and ought to keep you from topping out halfway down the track. Otherwise you have some serious ratio dropping to do to that tranny. Good luck

Travis

The way PS2 is going I wouldn't be suprised if new car games come out to the tune of something like...

Gran Japanese Import Midnight Downtown Crosscountry Drag International Fury Comp

Just browse through the games section, you will see some pretty creative names. I'll stick to PC....
