No thread notification

Jon,
Somehwere between 2/12 and 2/17 my notification changed from 'instant' to 'none'. I had updated my user CP to reflect instant notification, a few days ago. I created a post today, and the notification status is 'none'. How can I fix this?
Thanks,
AngliaBob

PS:I'm not sure, but, spell check let 'everyting' vs 'everything' go as OK.

I am not getting thread notifications either. My profile has the boxes checked to receive them but they aren't coming through.

Hmmm, mine are off and i still get them. Your guy's are on and you don't get them....Mabey I should turn mine On to not recieve them, and you guys turn em Off and possibly recieve them could be that they're backwards or something heheh.

after edit-One thing though, I just checked my email, even tho I get suscribed I dont think emails are being sent. So the above idea might not work too well. But I can see all suscribed threads from cp still eben tho emails arent being recieved.

Okay, I just turned my email notification "off" (as of 8 am Sunday). We'll see what happens.

I'm getting notifications on some old post, prior to move, but nothing on any new ones.

Same here, only on the old ones before the move.

Well, turning your email notification to "off" doesn't seem to make any difference. Two posts in this thread alone after I turned mine off and I didn't get notification of either. I'll leave it off a bit longer...but I don't think that is the solution. Is anybody getting thread notifications?

Interesting. I just now (2:45 pm) got an email notification for one of the threads I've posted on (Making firefox faster) and my notification button is on "off". Also, another thread which I started (zoomie baffles) had new posts but I didn't get any notification. At least I'm getting SOME notifications now.

It's inconsistent. It's on the list, item #3:

========
sigs -- IN PROGRESS, WAITING ON REPLY
open/close threads -- IN PROGRESS, WAITING ON REPLY
email subscriptions
2nd submit button -- DONE, BROWSER INCOMPATIBILITY
daily posts link -- DONE, ADDED
unanswered posts link
journal database reload -- IN PROGRESS, SOFTWARE ADJUSTMENT REQUIRED
photo gallery links -- IN PROGRESS, NEW SOFTWARE REQUIRED
redirect after thread move
exclude certain forums from daily search and new posts and searches
mark forums read capabilities
add links to dropdown click menu
IMG and link formatting codes
additional board styles to accomodate small/large text in browsers
thread preview box display
spell checker troubleshooting
========

There are overlapping layers to this issue. Some ISP's block these emails, they consider them spam. So, no matter how many times you subscribe, you'll never get the email. Here, we appear to have a software bug. At least. We can troubleshoot it. But I can guarantee you, we will never be able to get 100% thread subscription delivery for all users.

Regardless, all resources are being diverted right now to assist the Australians. Their board got taken down recently, relating to a free speech issue. So, our tech bugs are secondary now.
