Post NO WHY DID I DO THAT!!!

when i took my 350 block apart to start rebuilding it, i didnt think i was going to use the piston rods again, so i didnt put the bolts and the bottom peice back on the right piston rod. is there anyway a could reuse them, i mean there all still good..

The rods and caps are numbered. you need new rod bolts anyway.

i get people who mix up rod caps regularly, you can get the correct cap on the rod by matching up the scratch marks that are on the inside if the rod bore. the hone makes a destinctive pattern on each rod. look closely and you will see how they cross the parting line, the correct one will line up perfectly.

The chamfer also varies in width and was put there with the cap in place. Dan
