non-computerized GM distributor.

I am sick an tied of my computer system in my 88 camaro car it has a V-6, so I want to change out the computerized system to a non-computerized system. I was told to use a HEI distributor but doesnt it have a computer module in it.

If I may direct you to www.thirdgen.org, click on tech articles and read "tuning non-computerized HEI for performance" You might change your mind because changing one thing on computerized cars changes everything, which you will be doing right after the distributor swap.
You can also post on their bulletin board and get info from allot of people with your same car.
