NOS Holly Carb
Back in the 80's my brother was into Corvettes and was always pushing his for max performance. When he died I inherited his stock of spare parts. The other day I was looking through the boxes of stock and came across a Holly box, black and red with the Holly logo but nothing else I broke the seal and found a brand new 4 barrel carb, Single pump, mechanical limkage, spread bore, 1" primaries, 2.50" secondaries. There was no tag on the carb identifying it, and no paper in the box with any info. How do I identify what it is. The carb is huge, with the size of the secondaries its at least 800 CFM. How do I identify what it is and its ratings. I will take some pics tomorrow and post. There are some numbers on the barrels of the carb and some on the bowls but none that I can identify from the holly catalog.

Hey Carl is there any list # on the choke air horn ? I know the carb you are talking about as a friend of mine just got given 2 for free. The spread bore Holley was a aftermarket carb that would perform better than Q-Jet and still fit the spread bore stock intakes. That's why Holley came out with them

ID should be on the choke horn.
650cfm version is 6210. Holley still makes them.

air horn and it should have the date.
The holley book I have has good data base for identifying carbs if its covered in it. pictures are good like to see it.and the box ,curious.

Yes I think you are correct with regard to this carb being a replacement for the quadrajet. Correction to what I see now that I have it out where I can get a good look at it. The primaries are 1.375", the secondaries are 2.00", it has dual accelleration pumps. There are some numbers on the carb, yeah its a 6210.
Looked bigger when I first got it out. I thought the quadrajet and its replacements had vacuum operated secondaries. This one has mechanical secondaries, which is definitely not an economy or enviro carb, I checked the Summit catalog and its not in there. Many Thanks for the info
