first you need to check your rear end, a better relation and a positive rear end its what you need to feel the acceleration and belive me, its a big diference, you will burn the tires faster and maybe you will need more fuel y think a holley 750 its not to much for your engine, and the trans its a bigger factor to put your hp in the ground so you should start from the rear end, the trans, and the engine at the end.............

i hope be helpfully for you......

this page can help you

http://www.car-videos.net/tools/spee...B1=Recalculate

this page can tell you the top speed with any tire size, RPM limiter and gear ratio, remember if you got a 4.11 gear ratio you will eat your tachometer more faster but your topspeed will be lower if you put a 3.07 you will have a lot of topspeed but the rpm will be slower, just need to choose wich gear ratio its the good one for you thinking in your rpm limiter and the topspeed you want.... hope be usefull for you!

X2 as far as the gears and tranny. Pointless to rebuild a strong motor and leave the tranny out. I'm sure its the original tranny and rearend too. You can take a bone stock 305 and rebuild tranny and replace gears to say a 3:42. You could smoke the tires and cruise at decent rpm. Point is, too much hp not getn to the ground
