If you look at the very top of this screen on the right hand side(beside the picture)...it says HotRodders Bulletin Board in BIG letters.... If you look at the list of smaller words right below that...in that list it say "classifieds"...if you click on that with your left mouse button it will take you there.
Good luck...let us know how it works out for you Later, WEIMER |

Pretty wild I was just telling the guys at work I spotted a mint LUV truck this weekend. That's quite a find here in the Midwest because all the ones around here had rusted into the ground by 1985. It wasn't for sale.
I had a '77 years ago, all I can really say for it was that it got around good in the snow, I had a 400 SBC in it................. OK, it wasn't under the hood it was wedged into the right rear corner of the bed for weight but it WAS a 400!

I'd sure like to find a Ford Courier myself. I don't want the Mazda, I want the Ford. Had a friend who wrecked one years ago and I have a good engine and tranny from it. Just need a body. I always wanted to cut the top off and cruise it.

I have a LUV and the cab is rusted so bad most of the floor is gone. Looks like a Flintstone truck, Yaba Daba Doo!

Hey whatever happened to Oddrodder? I remember him saying his son had already taken a few passes in it. I haven't seen him post in quite a while.

Luv TRUCK
Doc here,
Where in northern Californication <---misspell, but I like it so it stays..take that Arnold...!) are you located at.. Try Pic and Pull in Fairfield California, Halfway between Sac and San Francisco..off I80..Airbase parkway I think, by Travis AFB... Not sure if they sell whole Cars or not..you actually have to go there to find out.. They won't give info out on the phone..In fact I think their number is a state secret.. BUT their Prices are BONE cheap ..Like $75.00 any tranny, $250 any engine..$50 any door.. The Catch, you ask..? you have to go find your part in a mega acre yard, and pull it yourself..with your own tools or ones you can RENT from them..like lifts etc .. It's like the 7~11 of bone yards.. They also have one in the Richmond San Pablo Area..(If they will let a body go..and you don't find what your looking for...) Doc

What's up guys???? Yeah our 1977 Luv w/388" and turbo 400 has ran a best of 9.87 at 103 in the 1000ft. Currently my son (Craig) is 3 points behind 3rd place with two points races left. Also, he is a top candidate for Rookie of the year at our local track! The 9.87 is about an 11.80 to 11.90 quarter. Remember we are running a MILD 388 that was built for our old street Firebird. A 13 to 1, dart I.E., Scat crank and 4340 cap screw rod, 388" with Oliver splayed caps is nearly ready for next season!!! The silly thing already leaves the line with the left front 6" off the ground!! Anyway, I am not an authority on Luv's but didn't they come out in about 1976????????
I guess I'll correct myself, They have been around since 1972!!! But, the only real changes from 1972 to 1977 was the taillights! Last edited by OddRodder; 10-02-2005 at 08:24 PM. |
