Twisted Dragon, you have a terrific gift with your art ability.I sketch and paint myself to pass time, been doing it for years.I do not have the ability to look at a picture and draw it out though.Seems weird but true.I pull some dark things out of my head though.Do not let that talent slip by and get lost.I wish I would have stayed with it myself,I can not make time to try and advance my skills though.Keep up the good work and one day we will possibly see your rendering of the next hot street rod coming from some custom shop in a magazine.

Twisted I sent you a PM already, just let me know how much $$$ you want for the original, I want to frame it and put it in the garage.

haha, you know we really needed a hot rod art forum when the seventh thread placed in it is over a year old.

Just so everyone knows, after PMing back and forth Twisted Dragon never would give me an address. Something about his dad not wanting strangers knowing where they lived.

Needless to say I never got my drawing.

A quick sketch Weimer did for me a few years ago and another of one he did in school. Not hotrod related but I thought I'd toss it in 'cuz it hangs in my garage.

Sorry about the pictures I'll just send it free if I can find an envelope and stuff, real sorry about all of this. Well.. come to think of it, I'd have to have my return address on it wouldn't I? My dad has just become all super protective since they had my little half brother, so I gotta clear everything with him.

I think I've received mail without a return address on it. You could put someone else's return address on the top if you wanted.

That says more about how aggravating it was to have to dump everything into a single giant thread than it says about the need for a forum.

Aha! Talented AND smart! Maybe he read about your unsavory adventures with the land yacht.

The real problem is that you didn't go through proper channels. You gotta deal with the agent, not the artist directly. Now just send me that bag of unmarked bills...

You know I'm yanking your chain. Regarding the drawing, there are other ways besides Paypal for exchanges. TwistedDragon could set up a temporary mailbox, for example. Mail Boxes Etc and Pak Mail come to mind. You would only need to know that box number in order to send compensation for owning the original drawing or artist's print from the original (yours and TwistedDragon's bidness) instead of the computer image that we all get to admire. TwistedDragon would reveal only the city by way of the postmark, which might be enough to satisfy his father's understandable caution.

BTW, this thread and the outlet for the talent it revealed is evidence that the need for this forum exists.

Hey Twisted, looks like some really goods stuff you got going on there! In case your interested, Foose went to Art Center, where they have a specified transportation design porgram, but Im pretty sure you need big $ if you want in. I should post some of my car and tatoo designs.

I would really like to go to that place but uhh.. it's in Cali, and I'm moving to Florida, I can't leave my girlfriend or take her away from her family in Florida I would suggest moving there one day but that might be a bit too far for us to go sadly. Maybe I could find something a little closer to home to at least get me a bit better.

Oh and as for all of that stuff there, don't try to confuse me, I'm really gullible when it comes to "playful" jabbing and crap

I hope you take this the right way, I mean well.

You have talent, if you have genuine interest in persuing this as a career, you should go to cali or wherever, as to gain as much training as possible, asap.

Your making a decision based on what feels good now, think of the future, if it requires your butt moving to cali, go. I am sure your future wife would prefer a happy husband that spent a couple years away from her, early in the relationship and has a career he enjoys vs a bitter person that lives in the past and blames her for the decisions he made.

Another words, DO WHAT IT TAKES NOW, take care of you, everything else will take care of itself.

Your early comment on how your ability was inconsistent, that will go away once you start practicing your craft daily vs whenever the feeling hits.

Good luck

Um, thanks, but I'm not the kinda guy that's going to be blaming someone for things like that I should be able to find a college to work with around here, then one day move out there maybe, I'm not spending two years away from her, she couldn't handle it, I couldn't handle it, I'd go broke just flying back every other day I could think to do it I'll figure out something, just now I gotta figure out how to get down to Florida. Anyone need someone to work for them around SC or FL?
