So I got the Nova going and didn't cut the hood. I took one trip to Siloam to my buddies shop 20 miles away as a shake down cruise. No problems.
So he says lets go to Tulsa. We take the 731 Hp Elky, an 84 Vette, Monte SS, Ford lightning a bike...
Well I drove the Nova 80 Miles to Tulsa on the second trip it's ever made.
!st pass no time but a Win!
2nd pass a 13.8 on street tires thru the exhaust and a Win!
3rd pass it went 13.3 @ 105 MPH on street tires thru the exhaust on a warm summer night. and i don't mean cheater slicks, i mean el cheapo depos like defenders or something

Then I turned around drove 100 miles to Siloam and then back to my house on the second trip No tuning besides bumping the timing down a click or two.

And this is a a stock 100000+ miles dish piston bottom end, stock cast iron heads i did minimal port work to and 3.08 gears.

I bet altitude corrected that's in the 12's...and i bet some tuning and a cool night will also net 12's. Heck I haven't even touched the button yet! who knows what she might go!!

-ps-, the 84 Vette drove to Tulsa and ran 112 mph on the juice and the all steel Elky ran 9.83 @ 140 mph on the juice

Nah, the Elky got trailerd but the plan was pull my car or the 'vette on the trailer if either broke and drive the Elky back. The Elky has 3.73's and a nitrous cam so it could have probably made the trip pretty easy if needed. Fun night!

last weekend, there was a 9.90 bracket car making a bye run....idled down the track..... he ran faster then my old truck did and the old truck was gettin after it..... damn you fast guys.

glad you made it, with that kind of a shakedown run, you ought not to have any problems.
