nova cover plate?

I have a 1964 nova with a stock rear end it is a 10 bolt but it has a cover that looks like a 12 bolt it has the v on it .is that common?


I just wount to say thanks to all that have helped me out with some of the questions i have had.

Stock original 64 Novas do not have a cover on the rear end ... they are the " pumpkin " type.

The Chevy 8.2" 10-bolt had the same wave on the cover as a 12-bolt.
