Nova Fender problems

I am trying to put the fenders back on my 72 nova but I'm having 2 problems, my first problem is that on the bottom of the fender there is a square notch from the fender where it looks like a clip of some sort would go to bolt up to the rest of the body, It has been to long since I have taken these fenders off to remember exactly how to put them back on. Has anyone run into this or have some sort of a solution? I can post pictures a bit later if that will help. My other problem is getting the fenders aligned just right but i think this is mainly due to my other problem. Thanks!

Front bottom edge where it connects to the core support(about 6" up on the inside of the fender), front bottom edge where the fender brace rod bolts to(very bottom edge), or rear bottom edge between tire and door(two u-shaped or two 1-1/8" square cut-outs)?

Dang, they sure don't call you "ericnova"72 for nothing!!

OT, that's a good problem to have- aligning the sheetmetal on a 1972 Nova- the '68-'72 Nova is one of my favorite street machines...
