nova hood skin - how to attach to framing

I scored a nice 2 inch fiberglass cowl hood for my 72 nova for free, but its just the skin. No framing underneath.

How do I go about getting it attach to some framing? Make my own somehow? Do they sell only the fiberglass framing? Use a old nova hood and remove the metal skin and attach with fiberglass paste?

Thanks

The way I would do it to get an old Nova hood and de-skin it. Then use Evercoat Vette bond adhesive to attach the glass hood to the metal frame.

This is exactly how Oldsmobile did it with the factory fiberglass hoods on the 70-72 W-30 cars. Steel under frame bonded to the fiberglass outer skin. You will still need to use lighter springs on the hood hinges, however.
