Nova upper ball joint zerk fitting

When I rebuiilt my suspension last winter on my '68 Nova, I purposely did not install the zerk fittings, afraid I could break them off doing additional frame work. I'm getting ready for alignment and find the upper ball joint zerk fitting holes aren't threaded! I could tap them but the housing on top is pretty darn thin. What gives, can anyone bring me up to speed?

Thanks, Larry

Use a self-tapping zerk fitting.
