Now I’m confused, Nason Ful-Thane 2K single stage
 

I just got myself all confused and need some clarification. :embarrass Nason Ful-Thane 2K Urethane is a single stage finish but it says 2K in the title, is it just a single stage? Do I have to shoot a clear over it if I’m using a metallic color? The last question is if I use a siphon gun, what tip size and psi works well with it. The tech sheet says 60-80 psi with no tip size. Does this sound high for the psi at the gun?

2K refers to the paint needing hardner, and yes it's a single stage with no top clear coat needed.

As for the gun......the psi rating could be right it it's a standerd gun and not a HVLP type.

You tip size should be 1.4 or 1.5

How about on a HVLP? I’m currently searching for one that will work properly with my compressor. I see that Sharpe pretty much recommends 1.5-1.6 for a DuPont single stage urethane.

I would go with a 1.4 or 1.5, but no bigger then that.
