i keep hearing this term tossed around here localy, what the hell does Nox friendly mean?

I think you mean NOS. NOX refers to nitrogen oxide, not nitrous oxide. But anyway, nitrous will work with any camshaft, but some companys sell camshafts specifically for nitrous use. This way you have the choice of making your engine perform in its peak off nitrous with a stock cam, or on nitrous with a nitrous cam. FOr other parts, like pistons, rods and crank, you at at least need forged pistons the rest are only needed if you go gungho on the laughing gas. So when you have forged pistons, you have nitrous ready pistons.

Becareful with NOS,make sure you get the right camshaft,pistins and upgrade all parts recommended for NOS usage.You are better off changing parts now then later,I've gone through to many parts in the past useing NOS.Good Luck.
