I can appreciate cars like the Pacer and Rambler, but they don't belong at a street rod show. If the Rambler was a S/C Rambler, then I might just say it should stay.

I'm for all kind of different cars... But not at a street rod event..... Maybe having two different spots for the cars... And you get to pick what one you want to walk into to see... MAYBE that way... But not together...

The NSRA claims there were 10004 cars registered. Yea, right!

I have a good friend in Louisville and he said there were nowhere near the number of cars running around town as there used to be, and you can tell just by the number of people in the background of Flipper's pictures (which were taken on Saturday the biggest day) how many attendees actually showed up. Just look at all the empty parking spaces.... didn't used to be that way.

Anyone with eyes can see attendance was way down from the 13000 or so pre-49 cars a couple years ago. My guess is it will be down another 1000 or so next year, maybe more. With the droves of people who have canned their memberships and refuse to attend the Nats growing, I doubt things will get better anytime soon. Especially with that ridiculous 30 year rule.... but then it IS all about the money. The NSRA shot themselves in the foot by lying to their membership about this rule in the first place, and with many of us, that doesn't sit well. I've got over 20 Nats mugs sitting on the shelf.... there will NEVER be another one added to my collection as long as the NSRA allows POS late model cars in their shows.

Good eyes- those ARE 3rd. gen Camaro wheels. Now- the front hubcaps- any idea on what they were originally from? (Belongs in the trivia thread )

Oh goodness that is really, really one more time really sad. I never have seem so many parking spots available at an nsra event. Where there any hotrods, anyone know ? Looking over the pictures I had not noticed. Most of that stuff looked like 10 blockers, that's some funny pictures, large crowds, Bet they only needed one hot dog stand, a coke machine and a port o potty. I bet the vender's had a field day sold a load of chrome parts and billet. Congrats nsra good move you sure did make that show grow...LOL

I love all complaining about the Nats. Im from Louisville and I will say there wasn't 10,000 cars but the was 10,000 paid entries. For me the Nats is a good time to see friends and check out the vendors. Granted there was some junk or late models, but those are cars that some one has put alot of time or effort into. Apparently no one has every gone to Frog Follies(The Ugly Car Nationals). A killer show and great swap meet, but the largest collection of ugly cars and junk that I have ever seen at one show and nobody complains about that. Personally I had a good time and the cars didnt bother me, but i didnt go out of my way to point them out. Just saying...

Thanks for taking the time to show the 'other side' of the show Flipper - nsra are getting exactly what they deserve. And just because there were registrations with numbers over 10K on them is no true indication that there were 10K PAID entries either - easy enough to skip numbers to prop up the figures.
