Nu-Relics Power Windows Review
Fellas,
I just wanted to give props to Nu-Relics (we don't yet have them in the Company Review Section)- I sent them my old Regulators about 10 days ago (they were rusty), and received my "converted' Regulators back last night (they have to use originals on '35 and '36's)- All I can say is WOW! They look better than new and the new Gears and Motors they used are absolutely first rate-they stripped the old Regulators and repainted them, sent the GM style chrome switches (the ones I like), all of the wiring (including Fuses), and door wire looms. I guess what impressed me the most was that they said it would take about a Week after they received them, and it was about a Week (how often does that happen in this Industry?)- So, I would give them an A++-top notch quality, and great service-consider them if you need Power Windows- |

Thanks! Your timing is impeccable, I am in the market for that very service. Would you mention prices?

Dan,
Not sure which Car you are putting Power Windows in, but here is a Link-I've said it here before-I think there are many good "fit-all" type of Kits, but I have heard many horror stories too-windows don't go up and down correctly, pinching, falling backwards, different stuff. Turns out that the Windows in the '35's and '36's go back as they go down, so using the original stuff (IMHO) is better and all of the other Window parts are stock- http://www.nu-relics.com/pricingkits.html |

The car is a '48 Chevy coupe. After I read your post I checked their website and found out they have a kit for my car which will also get rid of the @#$%#$@% vent windows. I HATE vent windows, so I am doubly thrilled to find a place that has a great product, does good work, and can help me get rid of the vent windows at the same time. Thanks again for the timely recommendation.
Dan

Nu-Relics is about 125 miles from my home. I have been there ... and they do excellent work. I was having problems with the original window regulators in my 1940 Ford coupe and he gave me some old stuff that he had removed from donor 40 Ford window conversions ... it fixed my problems ...
Nice guy ... I actually went with a friend to the Nu-Relics owners house also ... about 15 or 20 years ago. He had a pair of 1932 Ford 3W coupes for sale ... He wanted 10 grand each ... My friend did not buy either He thought 10 grand was too much for a 32 3W body ( at the time ) ... I should have bought both of them.
