Me Again, HG.
Not sure if this 377 buy is gonna work out, but at least with these questions I'll understand more about em. When getting a rebuild kit, do they make em for the 400 with the 350 crank? If I must use 500 dollar pistons, I'll never be up to that. HG

You can use a stock 400 piston with a 5.7" rod. That puts the piston .010" of the hole if it is a 1.580" CH. Now if they figure on a 9" deck with a 1.560" you will be .020" in with a virgin block.
