Nuther noob dropping in....

Howdydoo! An inveterate motorhead, I have played with cars since I was born, it seems. And the older I get the less I seem to know. But, I'm open to learning.
I am, for the 20th time in 20 years, trying to "finish" my 38 Chebby street rod. Every time I think I'm done, somebody shows me something cool and I'm off again to improve it. I ran a 454 with Holley 750DP on an Edelbrock Performer until I saw a pic of a 49 Studebaker Starlight coupe with a Shotgun Bill scoop sticking outa the hood. Om nom nom....Just had to have it. Bought an Edelbrock tunnel ram with 2 Edelbrock 4bbls, Comp Cams valve train, roller rockers, etc. The, as life would have it, I divorced, moved several times and landed in Vegas. So, here I go again. I'll be posting my woes and wins as they occur, mixed in with copious cries for help when appropriate.
Meanwhile, I hope I manage to fit in here. I am a small time actor and odd job guy, so I expect to pop in at odd intervals.

Oops, I just went and looked at a larger version of the pic. You must be referring to the backup lights. Front bumper is identical. The lights in the front are wired as parking lights. Eventually, I'd like to roll the pans and delete the bumpers altogether.
