Odd fix to my assumed lifter tap!

I would of bet every dollar in my pocket that my 350 had either a lifter or exhaust problem, for about two weeks. Just the other he tranny( two speed power glide) slipped a bit so I topped off the fluid and to my suprise the ticking went away. Is that possible that the rattleing I heard may of resinated up from the tranny? The noise was (what I thought) on the drivers side near the valve cover.
Can the low level caused this madness?
Thanks

Man, that is something I never heard of, but anything is possible.
Have you checked to see if the flex plate bolts are loose?
