In my gfs 74 c-10 we were messing around with the gauge cluster a bit and disconnected the speedo cable. Once we were done we simply connected the cable to the back of the gauge simple right?

well now the speedo gauge doesnt work it worked just fine no issues before and Ive pulledit and hooked it up at least a half dozen times already. I tried to disconnect it and plug it back in 3 times and still not working.

Any ideas? Im thinking of pulling the little gears in the trans (th350) and seeing if they got chewed some how doubtful but still going to give it a peek. could the cable be messed up or broken?

Make sure that the square inner cable is FULLY inserted into the socket of the head of the speedo before doing up the outer casing nut onto the speedo housing. Test it by going underneath at the trans and removing the end of the cable and spinning the inner cable and noting if the speedo needle moves. If it doesn't cable is broken or head is puked.
