Hey guys and gals. I have a offenhauser dual port sbc intake that reads patent pending on it. The intake was made in 1998 and has never been used. A buddy of mine told me not to use it because it may be rare. Any suggestions. Thanks
I have one on the shelf we had on a V6 Capri 2.6. It gave good low end torque and also good high end. I thing the carb was about a 350 CFM Holly. dual ports have been around quite a few years and the design principal is used on some fuel injection systems to keep air speed up.

Your Offenhauser intake is not rare, they have been in production for years and are still available.Offenhauser has always made a quality product, but unlike other companies they don't spend money on advertising and they don't furnish freebees to the media to promote their products.I spoke to Fred Offenhauser Jr.back in the mid-70's and that's just the way the family does business.I would use the intake, but you may want to refer to the archives on here about tuning when using one.You don't want to go overboard on Carb size with these intakes.
