Oil for 10 bolt

What weight oil should I use in my non-posi 8.5" 10 bolt? How many quarts do I need to fill it?

I've always used 90W gear lube. You can buy it by the quart at your local auto parts store. As for how much I can't give a specific amount but have always checked the level at the fill hole by sticking a finger in and bending the tip down. If I had lube on the tip then there was enough in the differential. I have also heard that you can fill until it is level with the fill hole, but Maybe some of our other members can share their experience.

75W-90, 80W-90, or 85W-90 should be fine. Capacity is 4-1/4 pints.
