How important is it to prime it before restart? Couldn't I prime it enough just on starter?? There is a pressure switch that will not make it started if not reached 20 PSI.

The problem with that is that you are making oil pressure your just not getting oil flow every where. You have enough pressure to close your safety switch so It'll keep running whether you're getting to the right side or not. I guess if you pull the power wire off of the distributor you could just crank the starter now that you're 3/4 preoiled. I tend to preoil it before I put the engine in the car just incase a problem comes up.
