Oil leaks

Hey there hope somebody has some input for a rookie engine builder. I have a 1970 chevy small block 350 30 over 4 bolt. The entire motor is ARP studs except where you can't. The rotating assm is all forged with flat top pistons. The block was spared no expense and was done by a very very good shop. High pressure not high volume! Oil pump with 7qt oil pan with proper pickup clearance was checked and is proper. Afr aluminum heads with full roller cam and rockers. Chrome standard hight valve covers they do fit without interference. And breathers on both covers no pcv. I was very mindful of all my torque on all my gaskets and sealer where it was needed and didn't over do it. Now I think I covered what you'll need to know I hope. Here is the problem during my 500 mile cruise breakin I had no problems. When I started hammering on it and maxing out my rpms it started leaking oil in small amounts every where. Especially out of my breathers in my valve covers. What did I do wrong? What should I look for?

Do a compression and leak down test, it sounds like you have a lot of blowby. Do you have a PCV system in place?

Thanks for some info guys. 68novass no I don't have a pcv system and I hope I don't have a lot of blow by. My block boring was done with the piston as a reference and I had to file fit my rings which I checked over and over and filed a little at a time as to not go over. Also I forget but I think the clearance on the piston to cyl wall was around .005. Ill do a leak down and compression check tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed.

Killeratrod thanks ill double check all my torque on the gaskets.
