Oil Leeaaakkkk !!!!!

guys i had a 406 that i had taken apart and freshened up up while i was waiting to get parts back that were taking along time and at that time i had used a 4 piece oil pan gasket and it leaked.i then put the fairly new yet 1 piece felpro in and cured the problem.hi gas prices came and i built a lower c.r. motor and used the same felpro gasket and it leaked.i got a new one and put it on and it leaked.what the heck i am doing wrong?
also with the other engine i had trouble with the starter alinement.it made terrible noise and had to be put into alinement frquently.the bendix used to get caught on the flexplate.now i'm having the same trouble on this engine.the other day i lined it up and hadn't started it 5 times and went to fire it up and it broke the nose off the starter.thats a first for me.these problems are just to weird.its like i'm cursed.does anyone have any info for me.i know this stuff seems like it should be very simple but what are you gonna to do?its not the starters i have 5 of them.
ok guys i'm not having any luck this way, does anyone know of a tech page or address or tech phone number for fel-pro?i can't seem to find one and after going to work on it again i am just not getting whats wrong.anybody?

Check the oil pan with a straightedge to see if it warped. As for the starters that is for someone a little smarter than me
