Oil Pan Leak

I know about sealing an intake manifold front and rear with silicone and am a believer in it over gaskets but what about oil pans? Can you use it in place of the seals front and rear including the side rails?
Thanks for your help.

Go with a one piece pan gasket, and be done with it.

Oil pan leak

That would be a good fix but I have an old style SBC {1966) with a small front seal(stock pan} and as far as I know the one piece is only for the later SBC.

Vetteman unless I am reading the catalog wrong the Felpro# you gave was for a regular thin seal gasket set not a single piece.

If you go on their site, you'll see that's for a one piece gasket.

I use the rubber end seals............dab of silicone in each corner. Don't overtighten the bolts..........Never had one leak.
