oil pressure gauge reading zero...

I installed my dolphin gauge cluster in my 49 3100 and put in the sending unit that came with it. Gauges have good ground and all needles come to life when the ign. is in the on position. Oil squirts like there is no tomorrow out the port. Anyone have any ideas?

Bad sender or wiring. You should be able to check the sender with an OHM meter.

Without knowing some other information such as type of sender and so on, it would be hard to diagnose the issue.

If you used sealant or teflon tape on the pipe threads of the sending unit, you may no longer have a ground connection at that point. Check for ground from the sending unit body to the block.

I originally had teflon on it, but removed trying to figure it out. Going to call Dolphin here and see if they can give me the ohm reading it should have.
