OIL PUMP CLEARENCE to strap bolt

I Bet this topic has been covered many times , but im unable to find the info ,I have a prepared SBC block that has the rear main cap Strapped, and the oil pump will need grinding to clear the main bearing bolt/stud nut,But before I put the Dremel to it , I wondered was there any other solution IE. a metal spacer beneath the pump body?, the sump im using would allow this.but then the oil pump drive would need extending, maybe a longer one is available?

Hi Thanks for input, I can see you application is a bit different to my build as the photo shows,In order to fit my pump with the "Strapped " rear main bearing cap, I will have to grind a much larger chunk from the pump body , probably three times as much as your engine needed , maybe more.Im a bit nervious about weakening the pump body , also if I break into the body its scrap. So I am hoping someone with the same combo. will guide me.
