Angry OIL PUMP NOT DISTRIBUTING OIL;

MY UNCLE PAST AWAY AND LEFT ME A 1954 CHEVY SEDAN
BEFORE HE PAST HE HAD TOTALLY REBUILT THE ENGINE BUT THE OIL PUMP WAS NOT PUMPING OIL INTO THE RODS HE COULD NEVER FIGURE OUT WHY ANY SUGGESTIONS.

in the rods so you meen that it is getting oil to every thing else

Is this maybe a StoveBolt 6 cylinder? If so, it may be a replacement engine from a pre-1954 car thus the rods are splash oiled and have no provisions for pressure oil. That would be odd though because many, many of the old oil dipper engines were replaced with the more modern pressure fed ones, not the other way around.

I wonder if he used an early 235 dipper crank on a full pressure engine. There would be no galleries drilled to the rods.

I'm not too sure but I do believe they will physically fit.

We need Gus from the Model Garage on some of this stuff.

How much lubriplate was used? If the oil pump was packed with lubriplate the pump won't pump lubriplate
