piston cooling

I have a blown 383 and 355 cbs with kb pistons it them, I have learned the hard way (2 engines later) that cooling the piston and timing are the most important things you need to think about. I have installed BLP oil spray systems in each of my engines and have had nothing but good luck and fun times, not only does it help keep the pistons cool it dropped the engine temp about 25deg, and with a blower you know engine temp is hard to control when your putting allot of boost to it. It also made me run more true times each run. Im installed them in a 400 cbs right now Im not putting a blower on this one but I hope it will help with it too. If you donít know that you want to go throw all the work to install them just take your exhaust temp, if that is over 600degs (and it will be if your putting the boost to it) you need to install them. your piston temp should be well lower that 600degs hope this helps you out please let me know how it works out
