ok im stumped here...

i just installed a new engine in my 83 chevy truck. i replaced what i thought was a worn out original 305 with a 350 bored .60 over flat top pistons nice 496 cam and am very pleased with the power. here i was lookin at this supposed 305 on my engine stand and decided to run the casting numbers for gp's . i come up with either a 350 , 400, or a 327. from 70 - 80 model. casting numbers are 3970010, head numbers are 333882 supposed to be 1.94/ 1.50 350 heads. im kinda shocked that this is a 350 but if so i am pleased as now i can build another engine for a spare. i need a second opinion on these numbers, so if you know what i have here dont be shy drop me a post.

could be a 350 or 327 the same number on both blocks you will need to no what the numbers on the crank are to tell what the stroke is.

Pull a cylinder head. 4.00 bore with a 3.48 stroke is a 350.

The 010 block is a 4" nominal bore casting- like used on the 327, 302 and 350. The crank will decide the final displacement. 883 cast heads are dirt common smog era heads.
