I have located an early 60's olds engine, built for racing with a b&m four speed attached. this engine has been stored in dry since 1964 filled with motor oil. I think it probably needs going through, but what about the automatic four speed. Think it would be better than stock 350 in street rod? Engine has 3 carbs, jahns pistons and isky 3/4 cam with solid lifters. low miles.

I have been running my Hydro in my '36 Willys Gasser clone for many years. In fact I wrote a 3 part article on the history of the GM Dual Range Hydramatic for the mid America Willys Club bulletin. I love it! Not as smooth or sophisticated as a mdern trans but these things wer designed in the 40s for Sherman military tanks. They are tough suckers. In short, I wouldn't consider running anything else in my Gasser.
