This Old Cam

One of the few items in my 454 that survived seizure due to oil restriction is the solid roller from Competition Cams.
I purchased it in the mid 80's but has less tan 1500 miles on it.
The engine shop say's they could use this cam on in the new engine if I want. I just found the info on the old cam. -This is going in my '57
The new engine is a 489 stroker. 10.5 compression, aluminum AFR heads. Intake is still being decided but likely a Victor Jr. with an 850 carb. Transmission currently is a muncie, 4:10 gears in the rear.
Ok engine gurus... I'd like some input. Is this cam appropriate this larger engine - and street/strip performance?
-Thanks in advance

Yes it will work very well. Pay critical attention to the required valve springs.
This baby really yanks the valves open and closed. Needs the right valve springs. Makes big big street torque. Makes a lot more power than the modest .050" duration numbers indicate.
Valve to piston clearance must be checked.
Consider using a Performer RPM dual plane Air gap manifold and big 850+cfm carb. An excellent BBC street roller cam.
Phone Comp Cams Cam Help tech line to get the latest-best premimum valve spring package for this cam.

I'll second F'Bird's prognostication.
